Finneas, brother and frequent collaborator of Grammy-winning alt-pop star Billie Eilish, has revealed details about his sister’s upcoming album.

During an interview with Australia’s Herald-Sun, Finneas apologized for being late. As an excuse for his late arrival, the singer-songwriter said, “I was grabbing one last Billie take,” giving a strong hint that he and Billie are working on a follow-up to the Grammy-winning 2019 album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?

“Billie and I are full steam ahead on her next record, I’m working on my own album too,” he revealed. “I haven’t suffered at all because of my set-up. Billie and I can work one-on-one, and I’m working remotely with other artists who FaceTime me and ask if I want to work on a song.”

Eilish and Finneas have released two songs this year, “My Future” and the James Bond theme, “No Time to Die,” with Finneas also recently issuing his solo track, “What They’ll Say About Us.”

“Billie’s album, and my album, they won’t be a bummer COVID record,” Finneas added while noting that he does not want to release the albums during the ongoing pandemic.

“It’s the vaccine record!” he declared. “I want it to be the album everyone’s out dancing in the streets to.”
