Gwen Stefani, No Doubt Celebrate 25th Anniversary Of ‘Tragic Kingdom’

October 10 marked the 25th anniversary of No Doubt‘s breakthrough album, Tragic Kingdom.

Band members Gwen Stefani, Tom Dumont, Tony Kanal, and Adrian Young paid tribute to Tragic Kingdom to mark the occasion.

“I have so many memories. So many people that I’ve met through the years that have told me that that’s their favorite record,” vocalist Stefani said on Instagram.

“I can’t believe it’s been 25 years, in some ways it feels like yesterday, in some ways it feels like a distant dream,” according to guitarist Dumont.

“Despite the challenges, it was a very creative and magical time,” he said, referring to his initial years in the band, releasing their first album in 1992 and starting work on Tragic Kingdom the next year. He recalled that he, Gwen, Adrian and Tony had real chemistry as bandmates and collaborators. “We discovered our voices as we wrote & recorded those songs together,” he added.

“We had already been a band for 9 years before Tragic Kingdom came out. We had no idea what was going to happen when we were writing these songs,” said Bassist Kanal.

“Knowing that this record has touched so many of your lives makes the recognition of this day that much more special,” added drummer Young.

Harry Styles To Release Limited Edition ‘Fine Line’ Vinyl Box Set

Harry Styles announced on Sunday (October 11) that he will be releasing a limited edition vinyl box set of Fine Line on December 11, marking the first anniversary of the album’s lead single “Lights Up.”

The box set, to be out in a glossy black package, will feature two LPs, 10 prints of Styles by the album cover’s photographer Tim Walker and a 24-page Fine Line at the Forum lyrics zine. The set also comes with a pair of white gloves to handle all of the above.

“Lights Up” debuted at No. 4 on Rolling Stone‘s Top 100 Songs, earning 15 million streams in its first week. His subsequent singles, “Adore You” and “Watermelon Sugar,” have become even bigger hits, with the latter hitting No. 1 on the Top 100.

Last December, Fine Line debuted atop the Billboard 200, earning 478,000 equivalent album units in the U.S.

“It’s gonna be a tough battle but with everyone’s love and support we are going to beat this.”

In an interview with “OK” magazine, Parker said he has stage four glioblastoma, and doctors told him it’s terminal.

Parker and his wife are currently expecting their second child.  The Wanted went on indefinite hiatus in 2014, so the members could pursue their own projects.  Parker is only 32.

Stevie Nicks Shares ‘Rhiannon’ From ’24 Karat Gold’ Concert Film

Stevie Nicks has shared a video clip of her singing the classic Fleetwood Mac song “Rhiannon” during her sold-out 24 Karat Gold Tour.

A film based on the concert, 24 Karat Gold – The Concert, is scheduled to screen at select theaters on two nights – October 21 and 25.

Nicks will also release the concert movie’s soundtrack in various formats on October 30.

Recorded over two nights during her sold-out 67-city 24 Karat Gold Tour, the concert features a set list of fan favorites and rare gems from Nick’s multi-platinum selling catalog.

The film also highlights Nick’s intuitive and intimate storytelling abilities, captivating audiences with personal stories behind some of the most famous songs in music history, says a statement.

Nicks said the 24 Karat Gold Tour was her all-time favorite tour. “I not only got to sing my songs, but I was able to tell their stories for the first time. I love having the opportunity to share this concert with my fans,” she added.

Shania Twain Has Written ‘Mountain Of Songs’ During Pandemic

Shania Twain has been spending her downtime during the coronavirus pandemic writing songs.

The country star, who had to cancel plans for her Let’s Go! Las Vegas residency due to concerns about the virus, said there has been a silver lining to her time off the road.

“I mean, I’ve got a mountain of songs now,” she said during a recent virtual appearance on ABC‘s “Live With Kelly and Ryan.” “You know, COVID has lasted so much longer than any of us expected, so I have enough music for three albums now.”

“I just keep writing and writing and writing and writing. Yeah, it’s good. I have been very productive, yeah,” she added.

Twain said she hopes to return to Planet Hollywood’s Zappos Theater soon and finish her Las Vegas residency.

“Well, I’m waiting to get back to Vegas onstage at Zappos. I’ve been waiting like everybody else for the ‘okay’ to get back in the room, you know?” she said. “So, I’m on standby, and writing music.”

Twain will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of her 1995 breakthrough album, The Woman in Me, with a special edition box set of the project.

Halsey Shares Thoughts On Wealth Tax In Conversation With Bernie Sanders

In a new video series featuring a conversation between Halsey and Senator Bernie Sanders, the musician told the lawmaker that she is in support of levying a wealth tax.

In the video call aired on IGTV, YouTube, and Twitter, the two discussed a variety of issues such as climate plan, the future of America, LGBTQ protections, reproductive health and racial injustice.

Halsey made her stand clear on wealth tax saying, “For me personally, there is no amount of money that I think is worth personally contributing to the alienation, the disenfranchisement of millions – hundreds of millions of people across this country – which is why, despite being in the one percent, I support the wealth tax”.

“Because I believe that the people who oppose it are motivated by greed,” she added.

Halsey acknowledged that born in a “lower class family” with mixed-race parents, she is now part of the one percent wealthy category of Americans.

Halsey described the first presidential debate as a “reality television show.” According to her, it was “one of the most frustrating pieces of television” that she had “the misfortune of witnessing.”

“It certainly was not one of the great moments in American history,” said Sanders.

Carrie Underwood’s ‘My Gift’ Debuts At No. 1 On Billboard’s Top Holiday Albums Chart

Carrie Underwood‘s first holiday album, My Gift, debuted at No. 1 on Billboard‘s Top Holiday Albums Chart.

The album claims the top spot shortly after its release on September 25 via Capitol Nashville.

43,000 equivalent album units were sold in the United States in the week ending October 1, Nielsen Music/MRC Data shows.

My Gift also made its debut on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, ranked at No. 8.

The album features the 37-year-old singer-songwriter singing “O Come All Ye Faithful,” “O Holy Night” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” along with a duet with John Legend on “Hallelujah.” Her son Isaiah Fisher is featured on “Little Drummer Boy.”

As usual, the Top Holiday Albums chart returned to ahead of the season in October.

Billie Eilish Urges Fans To Register To Vote

Billie Eilish launched a voting initiative for first-time voters and urged her fans to vote in the upcoming presidential election.

“As much as I don’t want to be involved in this fucking shit – as in politics and as in, this election – I think it is incredibly important that we all involve ourselves. Even if we’d rather stab ourselves in the face than talk about it, we need to talk about it,” she said in a video posted on Instagram.

Eilish explained that her fans could text “BILLIE” to 50409 to register to vote or double-check the status of their registration.

The singer, who is still in her teens, demanded a pledge from young voters, especially a lot of 18-year-old Americans.

“Like me, this is gonna be my first time voting. I used to not care about this kinda thing, and I think it’s really, really important that you care… Register to vote. Please vote. It really, really matters,” she added.

Although Eilish did not take any stand in favor of any candidate, she stressed the importance of voting specifying a couple of issues – racial injustices and climate change.

Shawn Mendes Drops Title Track Off Upcoming Album ‘Wonder’

Shawn Mendes has released the title track off his upcoming new album, Wonder.

“I wonder why I’m so afraid/ Of saying something wrong, I never said I was a saint/ I wonder, when I cry into my hands/ I’m conditioned to feel like it makes me less of a man,” Mendes sings.

“It really feels like a piece of me has been written down on paper and recorded into song. I tried to be as real and as honest as I’ve ever been,” Mendes said in a handwritten note shared on Twitter teasing his new music Wednesday.

“It’s a world and a journey and a dream and an album I’ve been wanting to make for a really long time. I absolutely love it,” he added. “Thank you for being by my side for so many years. I love you all so much.”

“Wonder” is also the first track from the album, which is set to come out on December 4.

The singer-songwriter also released a cinematic, dreamy music video for “Wonder.”
